Sustainable organic waste value chains
This project seeks to operationalize design options for sustainable organic waste value chains and generate lessons learned from practice for scale-up. The scope of work will continue to focus on and partner with the Kaduwela Municipal Council in Sri Lanka as a key pilot site for value chain transitions. The project will include broader national-level engagement to test the transferability of value chain options for other local government waste management centers and strengthen value chain approaches for scaling. This engagement will also promote exchange and learning from this research to other actors for policy and practice influence. This is the second phase of the project.
