Climate resilient agriculture transformation in Pakistan
This project in Pakistan will:
- Define areas in Punjab sensitive to groundwater depletion and to associated quality changes and develop over-abstraction risk mitigation measures in relation to solar pumping and High Efficiency Irrigation System development in the two pilot districts of Okara and Rahim Yar Khan.
- Review On-Farm Water Management (OFWM) progress on the establishment of water budgets for select watercourse command area and recommend improvements to the methodology, and
- Build the capacity of OFWM and other relevant stakeholders.
