Viengxay Xaydala

Viengxay Xaydala has worked in Laos for over 20 years. His experience covers projects and programs related to livelihood development, forests and fishery management. Xaydala has worked for the International Water Management Institute, World Wide Fund for Nature, Food and Agriculture Oragnisation, Asian Development Bank, Obf Consulting – REDD+, Hydropower, SNV Netherlands, International Fund for Agricultural Development and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
Xaydala leads the integrated rice fish culture trial and assists with agroecological interventions in the field, including community participation for wetland management, directing integrated rice fish culture trials and coordinating with regional, national, and sub-national partners.
He has a masters degree in aquatic resource management and aquaculture from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and is interested in problem solving at all levels from community upwards.
