Board of GovernorsRichard Golding (Switzerland & United Kingdom) is an independent management consultant providing governance and risk management advisory services to multilateral and other international organizations.
He joined the Board in December 2024.
Golding is a member of the CGIAR Audit, Finance and Risk Committee of the Integrated Partnership Board. He also serves on the Board of the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture and is the Chair of its Audit, Finance and Risk Committee (AFRC), as well as a member of its Program and Governance Committees. He previously served on the Board of the International Livestock Research Institute from 2015 to 2022 and was the Chair of its Finance Committee as well as a member of its Program Committee and Audit and Risk Committee.
Golding was Finance Director at The New Humanitarian, the world’s leading humanitarian not-for-profit news service, from 2017 to 2021. He reported from the frontlines of conflicts and natural disasters in some 70 countries to drive more effective prevention and responses to crises.
From 2016 to 2020, Golding was also an independent expert advisor to the Board and Finance and Accountability Committee of Unitaid, Geneva – an international organization for innovative funding and investment in projects to prevent, diagnose and treat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
A Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy, Golding worked for 25 years (1987 – 2012) at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a management consultant, based in London, Geneva and New York culminating in being appointed as PwC’s Global Relationship Partner from 2005 to 2012 for the United Nations System, The Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria and other multilateral organizations.
