Abbasi has over seven years of experience in the fields of Remote Sensing, GIS, Data Science, and GIS process automation. Prior to joining IWMI, he worked as a Deputy Manager GIS Development at National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan. Abbasi has also served as faculty member at National University of Sciences & Technology Pakistan. He holds a Master in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems & and a Bachelor of Engineering in Geoinformatics from the National University of Sciences & Technology.
