New Delhi, 10 June. IWMI and the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) signed a Memorandum of Agreement for scientific and technical cooperation by collaboration in research and training for the coming two years. The ICAR is an autonomous organization under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.
The Council is the apex body for coordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country. Highlighting the importance of the continued research in water sector, Director General Jeremy Bird briefed the gathering about key aspects of IWMI’s new strategy.
