Experts gathered for World Water Week warn that it is urgent to adopt solutions based on nature to avoid a water crisis on a global scale.
A popular African saying is that if you want to go fast, you have to walk alone, but if you want to go far, it is better to look for company. In the case of the challenges related to water and sanitation, we must do both: move fast and go far. Shortage of water, extreme weather and the rapid increase in population act as a time bomb on ecosystems, and to avoid a global water crisis, it is increasingly urgent to adopt solutions based on nature, warn experts gathered until next Friday in Stockholm for World Water Week. However, the enormous potential of green infrastructure is untapped.
