Aditi_Mukherji_receives_Norman_Borlaug_Award_300

IWMI researcher Aditi Mukherji has received the Norman Borlaug Award for Field Research and Application. Mukherji is the first recipient of this $10,000 award, which recognizes exceptional, science-based achievement in international agriculture and food production by an individual under the age of 40. “I am delighted and humbled to receive this award,” she said.

Mukherji was formally presented with the award on October 17, 2012, in Des Moines, Iowa, United States. She received the award from Ambassador Kenneth Quinn, President of the World Food Prize, and Dr. Ronnie Caufman, Chair of the search committee at the World Food Prize international symposium.
